Benazir Undergraduate Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2024

The Benazir Undergraduate Scholarship Program has been initiated by the Government of Pakistan through the Benazir Income Support Program. Because there should be enough money to get an education beyond intermediate.

That is why poor people cannot get an education. And their parents can’t afford their education so they can’t complete their studies. Keeping this in mind, the Government of Pakistan has started the Benazir Undergraduate Scholarship. Through this program, the government of Pakistan is giving scholarships to the graduates.        

Undergraduate scholarships aim to eliminate this source of unequal access. According to the National Human Development Report 2017, Pakistan is one of the youngest countries in the world. It has a population of 220 million, more than half of whom are of university age.

But given inflation, they are not getting an education. Keeping this in mind, the Government of Pakistan has started the Benazir Undergraduates Scholarship. The Benazir Undergraduate Scholarship aims to support children from families who have excelled in academics but do not have the means to advance.

Eligibility Criteria

• Fall 2021 session in an HEC-recognized public sector university where the newly admitted students fulfill the requirement criteria.
• And provide the information required under this project policy.
• Merit-only admission means whether the student has met the institution’s admission criteria or not.
• Through which he/she will be registered in the Undergraduate Scholarship Programme.
• Age limit as prescribed by the rules of the institution.
• That is, the maximum age for eligibility for the scholarship is the same as the maximum age for applying for admission to an undergraduate program at HEC.

Ineligibility Conditions

• Benefiting from any other scholarship or continuing grant may result in ineligibility.
• If enrolled in distance learning programs and public and private colleges, they will be declared ineligible for this program.
• Self-station is the reason for enrolling in self-supporting self-financing basis or evening programs with a higher fee structure.
• Associate Degree Programs Masters and B.A. B.Sc. Students of the named programs are not eligible for the scholarship.

Required Documents

• Copy of applicant’s CNIC or B form
• Two copies of the CNIC of the mother or father
• Father’s Salary Slip Income Certificate
• Attach income certificate if father is a laborer in private employment for daily expenses
• Five copies of utility bills of the last six months {electricity gas telephone water} photocopy of the bill to be attached.
• In the case of a rented house, attach a copy of the rent certificate
• Copies of last fee receipts of applicant and siblings
• Passport-size photograph of the applicant
• Photo of the house from the front exterior
