Reform of BISP Sponsorship Program 2024

Benazir Kafalat Program also known as Unconditional Cash Transfers UCT or Ehsaas Kafalat Program was originally announced in 2008. It was started by the People’s Party of Pakistan and later continued as the Ehsaas program under the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf government. Currently, it has been re-launched as a BISP sponsorship program under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

According to officials, the objective of the program was to provide relief to women and families affected by economic recession, inflation, food crisis, and impoverished women. It includes the CNIC of the deceased, the CNIC cancellation certificate from NADRA, the Death certificate of the deceased from Union Council, and the CNIC of all family members.
