In Pakistan, a birth certificate is created when a child is born, which is called a Bay Form. This document is used to register children under 18 years of age.

Child Registration Certificate (CRC)

In Pakistan, CRC can be obtained by providing documentary proof of birth of the child to NADRA from the Union Council. Parents also need their computerized national identity cards to register their children.

Union Council Certificate or Required Alternative Documents

To register a child with the Union Council, parents must submit a copy of the National Identity Card and the following documents:

Certificate issued by the hospital

Note: Guardian is only authorized to process through Guardian Certificate.

How to Apply for a Child Registration Certificate (CRC)

You can apply for a Child Registration Certificate (CRC) by visiting the nearest NADRA Registration Center (NRC) and following the steps given below.

Check the List of Nearest NADRA Centers

  • A token will be issued to the parent and guardian.
  • Wait your turn until your token and the counter number are announced.
  • A photograph of the parent/guardian will be taken, followed by fingerprints and signature.
  • The form will be printed for review by the parent/guardian.

Note: If the parent/guardian has his/her father/mother present at the registration center, he/she can verify the form by biometric verification. The biometric verification person should also be a holder of a National Identity Card.

The fee for obtaining CRC is Rs.50. To get the certificate early, you can also apply through the NADRA Executive Center for a fee of Rs.500.
